PRIMO tutorial on evaluating scholarly content online.

I’m very happy to report that the tutorial on Evaluating Scholarly Content Online that I created with Merinda McLure has been accepted into the PRIMO database.

The tutorial is an interactive Flash video created using Adobe Captivate. It takes about five minutes to view, and it walks students through the key points in determining whether an online article is scholarly or popular. Without glossy pages, full-color ads, and mastheads, it can be hard to tell!

PRIMO, if you haven’t run across it before, is a terrific source of high-quality (peer-reviewed) library instruction tutorials. I’m very pleased to be able to put the PRIMO logo on our tutorial home page!
