Kinetic typography

I’ve recently seen a few examples of really good kinetic typography, and here’s one I really like a lot: The Power of 5%, by Nau. Nau is a clothing company based in Portland, OR that donates 5% of its sales to charity. How powerful is 5% of anything? Check out their video to find out.

This strikes me as just one more argument for libraries to get really good graphic designers and media specialists on board to style our message. Wouldn’t it be great if we had such a smooth, appealing, professional video to front our programs and services? I bet it would get watched. And I bet we’d see some new people coming through our doors.
